Our Services

Initial Biomechanical Assessment (120 minutes)

Your first session is where the real work begins — not just symptom relief, but identifying the root causes behind it.

What we cover:

  • Full-body postural photo analysis
  • Gait assessment (video-based, including load management and joint sequencing)
  • Myofascial tension testing and release
  • Baseline strategy session for spinal decompression, joint centration, and pressure/tension sequencing

This session gives clarity on how your body is currently functioning — particularly important if you’re dealing with:

  • Chronic back pain due to excessive spinal compression or pelvic instability
  • Neck tightness or nerve irritation from postural collapse and poor rib mechanics
  • Shoulder impingement or instability from scapular rhythm dysfunction
  • Knee, ankle, or hip pain due to poor gait mechanics, pelvic tilt, or lack of rotational control

You’ll leave with a clearer picture of where the dysfunction is coming from and what it will take to restore it.

One-on-One Functional Patterns Training (60 minutes)

These are hands-on coaching sessions — practical, biomechanically focused, and 100% personalized.

Depending on your needs, these sessions may include:

  • Posture restoration training to reduce mechanical strain on the spine
  • Spinal decompression work to improve axial loading and reduce disc pressure
  • Rotational integration for sports rehab or daily function
  • Joint stability for knees, hips, ankles, and shoulders
  • Dynamic movement retraining for walking, running, and standing under load

We focus on building the capacity for:

  • Long-term shoulder joint integrity (not just temporary relief)
  • Releasing chronic neck tension by improving thoracic and ribcage function
  • Fixing lower limb imbalances like valgus knees, collapsed arches, or excessive external/internal rotation
  • Rehabilitating the spine through tension sequencing, not just stretching

Ideal for clients who want sustainable results rather than band-aid fixes.

Online/Virtual Training (60 minutes)

We offer high-level, one-on-one coaching no matter where you’re located. These are not generic workout plans — every exercise is selected and adapted to your unique structure using slow-motion video analysis, gait assessment, and tailored feedback from our Biomechanical Specialists.

Your first session begins with a comprehensive online consultation. Here, we’ll review your history, movement patterns, and personal goals. Since this work requires time and commitment to create lasting structural change, it’s essential to determine whether there’s a strong fit between your needs and our process.

This service is ideal for:

  • Remote clients dealing with recurring neck, back, or shoulder pain
  • Athletes recovering from injury and looking to restore full function
  • Individuals committed to long-term posture and movement correction

Before training begins, we’ll need detailed gait footage and posture photos so we can assess your baseline mechanics. This step is essential — even in an online setting.

What’s included:

  • Customised biomechanical programming
  • Slow-motion video reviews
  • Self-myofascial release protocols
  • Posture and gait re-education homework

How to submit your footage:

  • Video: Film yourself walking, jogging, or running for 8–12 metres in slow motion (12 seconds).
  • Angles: Capture footage from the front, back, and both sides.
  • Clothing: Wear minimal clothing with no socks or shoes — your knees, hips, and spine must be clearly visible.
  • Setup: Use a tripod or stable surface. Ensure your entire body is in frame and the camera is level.
  • Posture Photos: Stand naturally without correcting your posture. Submit front, back, and side-view photos, head to toe.

Send your completed footage and photos to move@ftmelbourne.com.au. After review, we’ll get in touch to schedule your first training session.

This service is ideal for international clients or those unable to attend in person at our Melbourne CBD facility.

Common Conditions We Help With

Performance + Pain Rehab Hybrid Sessions

We don’t chase symptoms — we correct structure and function. But here’s what that actually helps resolve for clients whose pain and performance are interconnected — think ex-athletes, chronic pain sufferers, or active individuals who are losing capacity.

Neck Pain + Shoulder Pain

  • Forward neck posture and upper cross syndrome
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Bursitis or impingement
  • Scapular instability and scapular winging
  • Chronic tight traps, jaw tension and muscular related headaches/migraines

Back Pain

  • Lower back pain (disc compression, nerve irritation, sciatica)
  • Scoliosis, kyphosis or postural asymmetries
  • Poor pelvic stacking or ribcage orientation
  • Herniated or bulging discs

Lower Body Pain

  • Chronic knee pain or ACL recovery
  • Foot collapse or over-pronation
  • IT band tightness or lateral hip pain
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Hamstring overloads and glute dysfunction

What Makes This Different?

Most clients have tried stretching, massage, or strengthening programs before this — but nothing stuck. Here’s why this method does:

  • We don’t treat body parts. We train whole systems. It’s a systems approach and not a symptoms approach.
  • We focus on how you hold tension, decompress joints, and move under load.
  • We assess how your gait, posture, and breathing are affecting your pain.

This is not a quick fix. It’s a systemic rebuild designed to give you long-term control over your body.
